David Harvey R.I.P. (1965-2007)

I have recently learned of the death of my dear friend David Harvey.
Someone I have been close to for nearly 30 years. A true friend to me all the way through.
Sure our friendship had it’s ups & downs, but mostly ups. We never seemed to fall out with each other over anything, so I guess we were both good at forgiving each other’s failings. Dave stuck by me when all around were putting the boot in & I’d like to think I did the same for him.
Last night’s tribute show (see downloads page) says it all much better than this.
So, it’s farewell Dave, gonna miss you man, or, as we would have said in happier times
“Ta ta you big……”

With love

Max’s Magic Circles V.I.P. Guest Slots For December Announced!!!

Categories: Home | No Comments

Hi Hi Hi There my Music Droogies! Yes, I can finally confirm we have @ least two V.I.P. guest slots coming up on Max’s Magic Circles for you in December, possibly even more! Firstly & by no means second, this coming Tuesday the 4th of December, 10:30pm (gmt) sees, or rather hears the very first guest appearance on the show by  MMr. Baron (Ubangi) Mordant from the highly acclaimed  Mordant Music pop group outfit of the same name as Mordant Music. MMr. Baron will be quite literally blowing out your ears & mind with his personal choice of fuzzy warbles to entertain & exasperate the modern listener, not that you have to be either modern, or a listener to enjoy this set. You could imagine yourself…& if that’s not exciting enough, on Tuesday the 18th of December at 10:30pm EXACTLY, we will be welcoming the one, the only (only the one, the only if you don’t count Little Frank, which we don’t ;-) ) Mr. Frank Sidebottom back onto the show for the next installment of his superb “What The One!” journey through his personal record collection (well, apart from those ones he hasn’t got & had to borrow from Mr. Murdo but turned out to be all scratched & my Brontosaurus, but that was all last time & so it doesn’t really count) for your listening pleasure. Needless to say I suspect there will be some mashing of keyboards & recordy Sidebottomy action for all! How exciting!!! See you there!!! Max “Cutsville” Quirk
